Bumbershoot: Seattle’s Music & Arts Festival Announces 2010 Music Lounge Lineup

Seattle, WA – The 40th Annual Bumbershoot: Seattle’s Music & Arts Festival, taking place September 4-6 at Seattle Center, announces the 2010 Bumbershoot Music Lounge lineup. This is the fifth year of the Bumbershoot Music Lounge, a series of live performances by Bumbershoot artists hosted by KEXP 90.3FM (KEXP.org) at a private location on the Festival grounds. The Bumbershoot Music Lounge provides Festival-goers with a unique opportunity to experience the music of their favorite Bumbershoot artists in a more intimate and personal setting.

THE 2010 BUMBERSHOOT MUSIC LOUNGE ARTISTS TO INCLUDE:

Saturday, September 4th: Plants and Animals, Justin Townes Earle, The Budos Band, Visqueen, The Raveonettes
Sunday, September 5th: Fences, David Bazan, Aterciopelados, Horse Feathers, Surfer Blood
Monday, September 6th: Ra Ra Riot, The Moondoggies, Bomba Estéreo, The Thermals, The English Beat

Any Festival ticket holder can reserve a spot for Music Lounge performances online at KEXP.org (http://www.kexp.org/events/bumbershoot2010_signup.asp) beginning today. The Bumbershoot Music Lounge venue holds approximately 200 people for each performance. Reservations are available on a first come, first served basis and go quickly.

A few seats for each Music Lounge performance are also reserved for Bumbershoot Platinum Pass holders. In addition to access to the Music Lounge, Platinum Pass benefits include admission to an exclusive, air-conditioned hospitality lounge, drink tickets, merchandise vouchers and reserved seating at seven venues, including the Bumbershoot Mainstage, three comedy venues, and the popular 1 Reel Film Festival. Fans who can’t make it to the Festival can still experience the Bumbershoot Music Lounge in a live streaming feed on KEXP.org, and after the Festival videos of the performances will be available at KEXP.org and bumbershoot.org.
